partners with INTEL for World Ahead Program

SHARP NGO has become a
member of Intel World Ahead Programme, a billion dollar initiative by
INTEL for developing countries. Intel's World Ahead Program, is an
alliance of 20 companies which has been formed to expand Intel's
effort to provide people in developing countries with the benefits of
technology. The program aims to spread benefits of better, faster
access to information and communication technology (ICT). SHARP has
initiated two projects with INTEL in India. Two projects which have
been initiated are being conducted in Baramati in Maharashtra and
Chandni Chowk in Delhi.
The project in Chnadni Chowk was unvelied by Sh. Kapil Sibal, Hon'able
Union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Ocean
development and Praveen Vishakantaiah, President, Intel India.
The
project aims at accelerating access to healthcare to schools of
Chandni Chowk. The second project is going on in Baramati &
neighbouring villages along with VIIT (Vidya Pratisthan Institute of
Information Technology).
