The uncertainty and anxiety associated with a global pandemic as massive as this one has had major repercussions on the mental health of adults and children alike. SHARP NGO presents a webinar on coping with mental health issues during lockdown & role of creative activities. This will be followed by the launch of the first issue of Abhivyakti - SHARP NGO's Digital Magazine for Creativity & Expression.

Along with sharing our work and our projects modeled around different themes of Healthcare and Sustainability, SHARP NGO also showcased the initiative of Emerti Self Help Group at India CSR Summit 2019. It not only promotes meaningful employment of skilled women but also the cause of eradicating single use plastic bags. We are grateful to @rajeshkumar.official and other attendees for whole heartedly supporting the initiative.

SHARP NGO had the pleasure of attending the CII Annual Conclave on Corporate Social Responsibility on 23rd October 2019.  The highly informative sessions and interactions with like-minded people made it an enriching experience.

SHARP NGO presented the #NationalSchoolHealthSummit 2020 at #IITDelhiAlumniDay 2019. Besides putting up a stall, our team interacted with several stakeholders of school health like doctors, teachers and CSR experts. We also showcased the work of Emerti Self Help Group – women run cooperative making cloth bags.

SHARP NGO and Schneider Electric conducted Green Championships in four cities pan-India. These championships felicitated school students and teachers who contributed to #EnergyConservation and #Sustainability, and saved a total of 11,687 Units of energy in three months. With this, in lieu of the SDGs, we are increasing #education and institutional and human capacity on #mitigation, impact reduction, early warning and #adaptation to climatechange. This Project is implemented by SHARP NGO since last 6 years. It has covered more than 13 cities and covered more than 100 schools.

Health and education go hand in hand as a healthy child concentrates more in class than a child with health problems. To tackle this problem, #SHARPNGO in collaboration with #MYLANLaboratoriesLtd. is organizing extensive health screening camps for government schools in Hyderabad to improve the health of the school children as well as help them to succeed in their academics.

Around 1.7 million buses are registered in India, out of which around 1,70,000 are public buses carrying around 70 million people per day.
Drivers operating these buses are usually overworked and stressed, long working hours and exposure to sunlight causes harm to their eyes, putting their and passengers' lives at risk. SHARP NGO with the support of RPG Foundation has extensively worked on eye care and its precautionary measures for the bus drivers across 7 states of India.

Skill Development Programme focus on enabling students in the school to excel the skills they are learning. More importantly it aims to get the decline in drop out rates of students in skill classes as well as in regular scheduled classes. Education and skill In a person together can do a lot of positive upliftment in the life of the students. Education is the basic need and right of every child.

Periods don't stop in Pandemics and neither should our efforts! SHARP NGO organised a webinar for adolescent girls from government schools on #MHday20 to sensitize them on hygiene practices and myths related to menstruation. The session was followed by a video on making reusable pads at home. In the post feedback, most of the audience found it helpful and informative.

According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, in 2018 over 26,000 deaths occurred due to not wearing seat belts.
SHARP organized a session on Road Safety and Seat-Belt Awareness at The Millennium School, Gurugram to provide the future drivers of our country with proper facts and knowledge about Road Safety. Teaming up with @nissan_india for #HaveYouClickedToday which is a campaign to encourage wearing seat-belts.
