In this webinar we aimed to educate and aware people on- How prevalent is diabetes in India, Diabetes Treatment and Prevention, Diabetes in Children and Related Lifestyle disorders. Diabetes in India is a growing health concern, with over half the population at risk of developing the condition at some point in their lives. India has an estimated 77 million people with diabetes, which makes it the second most affected in the world, after China. One in six people (17%) in the world with diabetes is from India. The number is projected to grow by 2045 to become 134 million per the International Diabetes Federation. Rural areas in India are also experiencing a surgeTrusted Source in type 2 diabetes cases, but more studies are necessary to fully understand how and why this is happening.
